As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, we are soon packing our bags and heading out on the road attending more trade shows. Our first port of call is Harrogate in North Yorkshire, once called the happiest place to live in the United Kingdom and the host of the exciting Home and Gift show 2015.
From the 19th to the 22nd of July, we will be waiting patiently for your presence at stand Q57, where we will be showcasing some of our new hats and accessories from the Autumn/winter range. We can’t give too much away this early, but these will definitely appeal to a broad range of customers. There’s truly something for everyone. As ever, this is also a great opportunity to get a look and hands-on feel for our great existing stock.
Normally it would cost around £20 pounds to attend this event but we are happy to announce that we can invite you to attend without even having to pay the entry fee. Entry for the event is free for all visitors who pre-register on the website before the show starts on the 19th of July. This opportunity is open for anyone and can be found at www.homeandgift.co.uk/invite.
Once we have finished in Harrogate, we will be hitting the road again for MODA and Autumn Fair, both of which will be hosted in the excellent Birmingham NEC. Stay tuned for more news on what the most popular styles are and how well our new range was received.

A sneak preview of our new wellies coming this Autumn/Winter
Here at SSP Hats our buying and product development team have been working hard to bring you new and exciting hats and accessories. This month we are pleased to announce that we have developed a range of adult wellies that feature bright colours and quirky patterns that are bound to delight your customers.
Each of these boots is truly unique and will definitely allow the user to stand out from the crowd and make a proud statement. The range of patterns to feature include everything from cute dogs to floral designs and even fancy camper vans. Each wellie will also have bright, bold colours of blue, pinks and reds that truly stand out and are great for colour co-ordinating outfits. Taking wellies off and on can be a slog but these wellies have on them an adjustable buckle and which is also good for decoration.
Our product development and sourcing director, Claire Myszczyszyn has worked on the development of these wellies, commenting that “The launch of the Autumn Winter catalogue will feature an updated collection of our popular rubber wellingtons. Last season we delivered our customers an all new and improved rubber shape and quality. Based on the success of this update and a great response from customers, we have continued to develop this shape further by including all new patterns and colours. We have built on bestselling lines as well as introducing fresh elements to keep the range eye catching for the shop floor.”
She continues “Alongside these colourful updates we have featured some of the best patterns in smaller sizes for a children’s version of the high quality shape. These new additions to our wellington family offer a greater element of protection for smaller feet and a sturdier alternative to our existing PVC styles. All styles will be in stock and available for the Autumn Winter catalogue launch.”
These wellies are perfect then for those cold, wet autumn morning or winter afternoons, helping customers retain a sense of style while out on any long outdoor walks.

With the autumn moving away and the winter drawing near, our October best-sellers are perfect for drawing the customers in during this time of the season. Our biggest seller for autumn was the faux fur headbands (A622) that will look great on any female customer wishing to keep warm on those colder days while still remaining stylish and elegant. Similar to A622 is the AW110-Brown Ladies fur trim leather look hat, a classic perennial favourite which is also great at keeping the cold at bay.
Also high sellers are our range of high quality Thinsulate beanie hats (SK1BK/A547) and gloves (GM25/GL25) that will provide comfort along with warmth for a wide range of people during those freezing winter months.
While those items are practical during the winter season, style is also reflected in our best-sellers with our dashing multi-patterned tweed flat caps (A14/H27), nifty bowler hats (E15) and dapper fedora hats (E14BK) that will make your customers stand out from the crowd in the following months. All these top sellers are available to order on-line or over the phone straight away.

With Harrogate under our belts, it’s time for our ever popular back to back run of Autumn season trade shows. We kick off with the Uk’s highlight of the fashion season, be there or be square show, Pure London 3rd-5th August, Olympia. Visit us in the Grand Hall Gallery, stand Y10 and get your hands on our brand new Hawkins range of handbags, wraps and winter scarves, as well as viewing our new for AW14 extensive additions to the hat range.
Next on the hit list we have an old favourite Moda, back at the NEC for the first time this season (10th-12th August), another fashion conscious show for all the fashionista’s out there. Pop along to Hall 19, Stand O41 where a warm welcome awaits. View our newly re-launched and improved quality wellington boot range in addition to our beautifully designed Hawkins Collection premium umbrella selection.
For the last one in August we are off to the Emerald Isle to visit our Irish Friends at the Citywest , Dublin Autumn Gift & Home show (17-20th August). Find us at stand E20 where a great assortment of this season’s product will be available for you to view.

Looking ahead to this Autumn’s round of trade shows, once again SSP are excited to announce we are exhibiting at the ever popular Autumn Gift & Home trade show held at Citywest, Dublin.
